Ppl need help I'm BROKE - Guild Wars Forums

Hey, I straded playing a month ago and I am playing (mostly) with a ranger and everyone is telling me that they are so bad for farming actualt u can't farm with them!! So does any one has a solution or a advice for me how to get gold?!?!

you can farm with them....people are STUPID---there are FissureOfWoe farming spots for rangers....trapping in UnderWorld

other spots are available with certain bosses etc... or HM raptor farming during events for party points (sell ~100g+ per point)

other then that just play the game, do missions, do vanquishes, do dungeons...all bring in cash some more than others - open chests; and perhaps get lucky with a rare drop - same goes for drops in FoW and UW

since you've only been playing one month i would say get to know the game a bit more before you think about having no money. i rushed thru gw when i got it over 3 years ago and i still regret it

Make a character that is for farming, I have a couple for farming, running etc. that i'm going to use once the only titles left are cash based ones.

Ps. Only a month and your farming? You do realise theres a game in there lol?

Well, I am almost throw the Factions , and I read all on wiki and ppl helped me...... Well need the money for armors and it is not 1 month it is 3 but ok

xD And I need the g because I can't do anything right now I'm stuck on a row quest and everyone is doing HM so don't have ppl to help me with some vanquishes and dungeons and stuff.... I go with henchmens and I die

so need the money to get me better...

If I can solofarm UW with my ranger, then so can you. I suggest you play through the game and get a feel for it first though... after that, try this toucher build for smite crawler farming:

[Vampiric Touch][Vampiric Bite][Unholy Feast] OPTIONAL [Storm Chaser][Dwarven Stability][Troll Unguent][Greater Conflagration]

Attributes: Expertise 10+2+1, Wilderness Survival 8+2, Blood Magic 12

I use ["I am Unstoppable!"] as the optional, but it can be pretty much anything. The build is solid as a rock... I can take on two groups of Coldfire Nights at the same time and still take it easy if that happens...

The preferred equipment is the following:

Caster Weapon (I use a Spear with +5E and +20% Enchanting)
Max Shield of Fortitude with +10 Armor vs. Fire (I use one vs. Cold for Coldfires as well)
Full Pyrebound Insignias on Max Armor, with the runes required for attributes and the rest to Vigor/Vitae/Attunement.

Start character get so far and get stuck on mission

Simple solution start second character play that one for a while and learn more about game.
Repeat then pool all the money get the armour you need, Its a good way of getting Luxon or Kurzic points anyway.

Or just grind away killing stuff till you get the money you think you need.

Don't think I paid out cash for Armour till I got to the main Luxon city collectors armour was just fine.

Haha, yeah, that build is awesome! It's easy, and it's fun ^^ You can solo all of the Ice Wastes, as well as the Chaos Plain. Put Troll Unguent up before you enter the battle, activate your skills and spam away ^^

It's slow, but it's really a good build to get you started on

P.s. Globs of Ectoplasm that you get are worth about 4-5k, don't sell them to the merchant

Just out of curiosity, why? Your build doesn't have a single enchant in it, so why not use a spear with +5e and +30hp?

Last time I checked, [Dwarven Stability] was an enchantment. Build also has an optional, blank slot.

You don't really need a lot of gold in Guild Wars. The only required expenses are for armor and skills. Armor and weapons can be obtained from collectors. You should obtain almost all of the required gold from just normal play at a regular pace in this game, if you pick everything up and save. Just curious, why worry about hard mode if you can't participate?

Get a handful of traps and get access to zaishen elite mission. Its easy to trap, there are almost always ppl wanting a trapper.
You can earn 6k baltazar faction in 20mins, (only once per day), buy a zaishen key for 5k faction and sell it for 4500 cash or so.
that should get you some starter money fast.

That said, its a little early to think you are going to be very good because you don't have he skills/experience to do it well yet. Play the game, pick up every drop and identify/sell or salvage any you don't want.

When you start a new job you don't get to be the company president untill you develope the neede skills to do the job. Its the same with farming...tho some simple farms are doable fairly early on depending on the skill set and skill a player has. EWWWWW...a game, but still, in some ways, alot like life
